Listed below are dates comprising the approved 1998-99 Harrison County Schools' calendar. Parents of school children may wish to clip and save this information. The calendar is based on 180 student days and 200 teacher days.

Aug. 26 -- School opens, first day for students grades 1-12.

Aug. 28 -- Kindergarten program begins.

Sept. 7 -- Labor Day, school not in session.

Sept. 15 -- Principals' meeting.

Sept. 18 -- End of first school month.

Oct. 7 -- End of elementary and secondary first six weeks grading period, grades 1-12.

Oct. 13 -- Principals' meeting.

Oct. 14 -- Report card distribution, grades 1-12.

Oct. 28 -- End of kindergarten first nine weeks grading period.
